[mood |indescribable]

Was watching Queer as Folk tonight, and Brian was talking about going to Sydney Mardi Gras! ^__^

Brian: "They say Mardi Gras in Sydney's the Gayest place on earth. Except, perhaps, Disneyland." XD

Also, the part after the explosion at Babylon where Brian just hugs Justin and says "I love you." (so quick, you almost miss it) I think I just melted into an angsty puddle....

Hey all,

If you haven't booked accommodation for Mardi Gras yet, now is the time to do it. The parade is on the 4th March, and the after party will go until the next morning.

I suggest the Formule 1 in King's Cross; it isn't expensive, and a number of us are already staying there. saikogrrl, skaev, icefalcon and I will be there from the 3rd until the 6th, and I know gorgeousnasty is staying there, too. It's $90 per room, per night; and you can have up to four people to a room. The phone number is (02) 9326 0300. If you leave your credit card details, you can reserve your room but they won't charge you until the day of your arrival.

But wherever you decide to stay, book soon! Rooms will book out pretty fast.

134 days to go!! <3

So, does anyone know what the deal is with the After Party? As in, do we need to buy tickets, and if so, where from?

I've never been to one, and the website is really amazing in its capacity to be unhelpful!

Hey guys my name's amy, i'm 17 and i'm from wollongong (one hour south of sydney) I went to mardi gras '05, which seems soooo long ago. =[
I had an absolute blast and i'm hoping to be able to go in the parade in '06, i was wondering if any of you could tell me the process and all that.

I noticed there was a scissor sisters group in the parade and there was only about 5 people in it, i'm a huge SS fan and i was shocked to see only about 5 people in it, i'd really like to be a part of it and so would my friends (we're all gay btw, lol). We also want to go to the after party seeing as though we'll be 18, how to we get tickets and how much are they?
i REALLY REALLY want to go in the parade.

Thank you for your help!

I also have a M-G community, it's only a day old and it's based on M-G in general, please take a look at it and join if you like, i really love M-G, i'm obsessed you could say. Ever since coming home from my three day holiday on M-G '05 it's all i've been talking about.
love amy!

So, okay, Mardi Gras is a little over six months away and registration is in November, so I figure it might be time to start thinking about stuff.

Like, most importantly, what are we going to wear OMG!!11!1! is everyone still planning on going? ;)

And does everyone still want to march?
